Everyone uses the Internet for business and marketing today, and if you aren't online, you are missing out on potential customers. Go ahead - come up with the most obscure type of Niche market you can think of and Google it. You'll be amazed at the number of results you get. People are building big Niche Lists and profiting from them via email.

Building a targeted and specific Niche List is easy if you know what to do. The first you need to remember is that anything, EVERYTHING you see online is a marketing Effort to do 1 of 3 things:

1. Acquire - Capture new prospects = Building a List in Your Niche

2. Service - Customer Retention = Really help your customers and profit form them.

3. Grow - Customer Growth = Have a long term plan (sales funnel and email follow-up)

I like to call these the 3 rules of Direct Info Marketing because they are born from good old and offline Direct Marketing.

Think about this for a moment, lets assume you already have a product to sell (product creation or affiliate marketing); you first need a way of showing it to everybody (Host a Website), then you need exposure of that site (Generate Traffic), once you have visitors you need to capture as much of those visitors email addresses so you can follow-up with them (List Building, Autoresponders), once you have their attention, you need great copy and content so they can become paying customers (conversion) and then you need to make sure they stay subscribed in order to sell them more products (affiliated products, own products) and at higher prices.

This is called a prospect/customer life cycle. You must be thinking this is a pretty simplistic way of putting it. Well, Yes and No.

Nobody said marketing online was hard. I think the concepts are fairly easy to grasp for anyone, but at the same time, it is always easier said than done. Marketing Online is all about the little things. No part of the process is particularly hard to do but you still NEED to do it to the smallest detail. As you move forward you will realize that the bottom line comes down to mastering these 3 rules: Acquire Service Grow, and all are equally important.

Another important aspect is that you cant expect to become wealthy from selling eBooks only. Your strategy needs to include all kinds of products and services priced differently for different stages of a customer life cycle.

- Give them something free so they become subscribers. Usually a report or small software application

- Sell them a cheap e-Book. Once you have their trust you can recommend eBooks based on the subject of interest. (Can be your products or affiliate products)

- Sell them a membership. Recommend related membership sites, usually memberships sell for twice an e-book price.

- Recommend an Audio/Video course on the subject. This could be something you create or affiliated, but the perceived value is higher. You can sell it for a couple hundred.

- Sell seminars or coaching programs for higher prices.

See how this works?

You are back to the 3 rules > ACQUIRE Customers (FREE products and build your list), SERVICE them (eBooks, Memberships, rewards, support) and GROW your customers (Higher Price Items).

Dont worry if you don have ANY product today. What IS important at this point is that you have the 3 rules in mind when creating your first product or promoting as an affiliate and all future products because it will help you decide what the products goal is, how to design it, market it and deliver it to your customers.

Now that you know how to approach you Niche List building efforts you need a system to apply the concept. The 3-page system taught by Niche List Profits is one of the best Ive found because its simple and to the point and more importantly you can start using it immediately.

The main idea is to create an opt-in page (acquire prospects), then a pre-sell page (provide an added value service to your promotions, could be a bonus offer or product review) and then a product page (grow your prospect to customer).

Study this concept and master the 3 rules and the 3 pages. Apply them to your promotion logic when you create ads, opt-in pages, ppc campaigns, articles, blog posts, etc. and your sales will grow exponentially.
