The hair on the back of school counselor Reyna Luna's neck stood on end when she confronted substitute teacher Robert Ashley about being alone in a classroom with an Atrisco Elementary School girl, according to a Sheriff's Department report. Rightfully so, says Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White. White said that Ashley, 63, told detectives Friday that he has ongoing sexual feelings for 8- and 9-year-old girls and that he has videotaped students at Atrisco Elementary School, the playground just outside his apartment window and possibly at other locations. Authorities are now on the hunt for Ashley, whom neighbors said fled in the middle of the night Saturday, a day after detectives interviewed him about allegations he'd videotaped students at the southwest school.
